0x1010 · chargingControl

读取并配置可充电设备的充电行为——包括限制最高充电量以延长电池寿命的"电池保护"模式。

A HID++ 2.0 feature that allows a host to inspect and configure how a rechargeable wireless device manages its charging behaviour. It appears on Logitech mice, keyboards, and headsets that expose programmable charging parameters, and complements the battery-reporting features 0x1000 batteryStatus and 0x1004 unifiedBattery by adding write-side control over the charging process rather than just reading the current state.

Not implemented in OpenLogi

OpenLogi's vendored hidpp crate does not provide a typed wrapper for this feature yet. The notes below summarise the HID++ feature in general terms, not OpenLogi behaviour.

What it does

0x1010 chargingControl gives a host read and write access to the device's charging configuration. In general terms it provides:

  • A way to query the device's supported charging modes and any active charging parameters currently in effect.
  • A way to set charging-related options — for example enabling or disabling a charge-limit mode (sometimes called "battery care" or "smart charging") that caps the maximum charge level to prolong long-term battery health.
  • Optionally, the ability to override the charge ceiling — for instance temporarily allowing a full 100% charge before travel while normally running at a lower threshold.
  • Device-side enforcement of the configured policy: the firmware applies the stored setting autonomously and persists it across power cycles.
